Alastair is the Head of Investments for Venture Capital. He has over 20 years of experience working across technology venture capital, investment banking and within the global healthcare sector. Prior to joining Legal & General, he was a Partner at IP Group plc, one of the largest global university-linked investment platforms, where he worked for c. 10 years across healthcare and leading the group’s fund management & advisory business. His earlier career involved roles in the healthcare advisory teams of JPMorgan and Jefferies. He holds a BSc in biology and an MBA from London Business School.

Matteo joined L&G in 2015 and leads the firm on its digital infrastructure investments. He is a Non-Executive Director across portfolio companies such as Kao Data, and is also a member of L&G's Private Markets leadership team. Prior to L&G, Matteo worked in infra-private equity at Terra Firma, investing in and managing asset backed-businesses, and at Morgan Stanley before that.

Matteo is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and speaks English, Italian, French and Japanese. Matteo graduated with a Masters in Mechanical & Manufacturing Engineering (MEng) from Cambridge University. 

Kyle joined the Private Credit Investment Specialist team in 2024 as a Senior Investment Specialist, after having previously been the corporate strategy lead for the L&G Private Credit business and a Senior Finance Manager.
