Anna Hirai

Anna Hirai is responsible for stewardship activities in the TMT (technology, media, and telecom) sector for L&G's Asset Management division, with a focus on key themes such as climate, nature, governance and AI.

Anna joined L&G in 2022 from SquareWell Partners where she held the title of Co-Head of ESG Research.

She led thematic research on environmental and social issues for publicly listed companies in Europe as well as supporting research projects for activist situations in Japan.

Prior to that, she worked as an ESG Research Analyst at VE (later acquired by Moody's), where she rated ESG disclosures and performance of listed companies in Japan.

Anna graduated from University College London with a BA in History, Politics, and Economics. Anna is fluent in English and Japanese.
