Based in Singapore, Trista Chen serves as the Co-Lead Global Investment Stewardship at the Asset Management division of L&G. She co-manages the global Investment Stewardship team, shaping and executing strategy across markets, and leads its implementation in Asia with a nuanced, locally informed approach.
Her role includes direct engagement with boards and senior executives of investee companies to influence governance, sustainability, and long-term value creation. With two decades of global experience, Trista is a senior sustainability executive who has advised institutional investors and financial institutions across 30+ markets.
She brings strategic leadership in embedding environmental, social, and corporate governance considerations into investment processes—identifying material risks, capturing opportunities, and driving long-term value creation.
Her experience spans public equities and private markets, including infrastructure, private equity, and private credit.
Prior to joining L&G, she was a Partner at ERM, where she led the financial services strategy in APAC, advising clients on responsible investment and sustainable finance.
Having lived and worked in Greater China and Canada before relocating to Singapore in 2021, Trista holds a Master of Environmental Design from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Science in Honours Science and Business with a minor in Chemistry from the University of Waterloo. She is fluent in English, Mandarin, and Cantonese.
