Angeli Benham

Angeli joined the Investment Stewardship team within L&G’s Asset Management division in 2005.

She is responsible for developing L&G’s corporate governance and custom voting policies. Her thematic focuses are income inequality, diversity, equity, and inclusion as well as executive remuneration.

She leads L&G’s engagement on several consumer discretionary sub-sectors. Before joining L&G, Angeli was at the Investment Association, where she was responsible for writing and producing the research reports on FTSE All Share companies for their IVIS service.

The research papers were to assist fund managers to be able to implement their voting policies at upcoming shareholder meetings.

Prior to the Investment Association, Angeli spent three years working for M&G Investment Management in its corporate governance team, applying their governance policies to vote at shareholder meetings and attending engagement meetings with investee companies.

Angeli holds a BSc (Hons) degree in financial economics, post graduate diploma in law, Legal Practice Certificate (LPC), Investment Management Certificate (IMC) and is a graduate of ICSA (Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators), now called the Governance Institute.
