Global Head of Trading and Liquidity Management, Asset Management, L&G

Ed Wicks leads the Global Trading & Liquidity Management Team at L&G’s Asset Management division.

In this role Ed is responsible for the strategic direction and global delivery of trading, money market fund management and securities lending.

The team operates a global model, with investment professionals based in our Hong Kong, London, and Chicago offices, providing continuous access to international markets.

Ed joined the business in 2015 from BlackRock where he was a senior member of the Trading & Liquidity Strategies team, focusing on trading, transition management, cash management and securities lending.

Prior to embarking on a career in asset management Ed worked in investment banking, most recently as a derivatives trader at J.P. Morgan.

There he was responsible for managing several of the bank’s European trading books and led market making activities across various derivative instruments.

Ed graduated from Loughborough University and holds an MSc in business management as well as a BA (hons) in economics and politics.

Ed is a member of the FCA Secondary Markets Advisory Committee.
