Yew Thong Choong is a Research Analyst with responsibility for middle eastern financials, ESG and quantitative research. Yew Thong joined L&G in 2024 from GIC where he held the title of Quantitative Strategist, covering systematic credit strategies in Global DM Credit. Prior to joining GIC in 2022, Yew Thong was responsible for Chinese financials, ESG and quantitative research as well as fixed income trading in NN Investment Partners from 2016 to 2022. He began his career in 2013 as a fixed income trader in The Toronto Dominion Bank. Yew Thong graduated from University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) and Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical Engineering). He holds a Master of Liberal Arts in Extension Studies (Data Science) from the Harvard University Extension School and is CFA charterholder.
