Raza Agha

Raza Agha joined L&G’s Asset Management division as Head of Emerging Markets Sovereign Strategy in 2019.

He has nearly 25 years of experience in EM sovereign credit/macro research and investment strategy at commercial, investment, multilateral and central banks.

Prior to joining the business, Raza spent nearly 20 years working at various investment banks including ABN Amro, Royal Bank of Scotland, Samba Financial Group and Bear Stearns.

He also has also worked with the public sector at the Central Bank of Pakistan, in addition to being a consultant to the World Bank and Asian Development Bank in similar capacity.

Raza graduated from Cornell University with MAs in public administration and development policy.

His undergraduate degree was in economics from University College London.
